We have launched the Biotz Partner Program for Startups and Enterprises. In this post I will answer questions you may have, primarily revolving around value, risk, ownership, and scalability.
🚀 Startup program
Startups prioritize speed, low upfront risk, full ownership, and financial flexibility. So our main focus is on translating the partnership into a viable, scalable product they fully control.
‍What is the complete financial roadmap after the fixed-fee PoC?
The initial PoC is a low-risk, fixed-fee validation (approx. €50K-€70K). Post-PoC, the roadmap is highly flexible. For early development, most startups opt for a Project-Based model with fixed deliverables. As you stabilize, we transition to a Subscription model for platform access, support, and maintenance. The Revenue-Sharing model is reserved for mature, market-ready products where we tie our success directly to yours, and is negotiated based on your specific industry and profit margins.
How flexible is the financial arrangement if a funding round is delayed or accelerated?
We are structured to protect your cash flow. If a funding round is delayed, we can often temporarily transition to a lower-cost support model or extend payment terms based on a mutual agreement. If funding accelerates, we can rapidly scale our development capacity to meet your new timeline without being locked into a rigid scope.
What level of ownership and control does a startup maintain over the codebase?
You maintain 100% ownership of all developed code and business logic. The foundation is built on the open-source MPL 2 license, meaning you own it all. We deploy directly to your infrastructure and Git repositories. 'Vendor independence' means if you ever choose to leave the partnership, you retain the complete, clean, and maintainable codebase, with no proprietary lock-ins.
What are the guaranteed timelines for moving from PoC to MVP or launch?
While timelines vary based on complexity, our use of powerful platforms and clean, Clojure-based architecture significantly accelerates development. A typical PoC is delivered within 4-6 weeks. We can generally launch an MVP with core features within 3 to 5 months of the PoC validation, focusing on a clean codebase that minimizes technical debt.
How is the "Expert Support & Training" delivered, and what is the cost of ongoing, long-term technical support?
Initial support is delivered via hands-on, pair-programming sessions and comprehensive documentation during the build phase. Long-term support is provided through our affordable Subscription Model, which includes platform access, professional support, continuous security patching, and monitoring. This ensures your team can manage and evolve the solution with confidence."

🏢 Enterprise program
Our focus is on de-risking your innovation, ensuring compliance, seamless integration with your existing systems, and guaranteeing long-term maintenance and internal capability building.
‍What framework guarantees that all IP developed remains securely and exclusively with the corporation?
Our contracts feature strict clauses for IP assignment, ensuring all developed code, unique configurations, and business logic are exclusively the property of your corporation from the moment of creation. The development occurs within a private, compliant environment, and the final solution is deployed to your infrastructure, guaranteeing secure containment of your sensitive internal IP.
How does Biotz ensure compliance with sector-specific regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)?
Compliance is addressed in two layers. First, our internal processes and platform adhere to global standards (ISO 27001, OWASP). Second, for sector-specific compliance (like HIPAA or local financial regulations), we integrate our work with your internal legal and compliance teams from the PoC stage to guarantee the architecture, data handling, and deployment configuration meets all required regulatory mandates before launch.
What is the formal SLA for Long-Term Maintenance (uptime, security response, support cost)?
Our formal SLA is a key part of the program, guaranteeing high uptime (negotiated up to $99.99\%$). It includes guaranteed continuous security patching and a defined response time for critical security vulnerabilities. Level 3 Technical Support by our core development team is an assured service, with costs structured as a predictable, annual fixed-fee or license fee, designed to minimize operational risk.
How will the new digital assets integrate with the existing enterprise technology stack?
Integration is a core focus. Our functional, data-oriented architecture is designed for seamless connectivity. We specialize in building secure, modern APIs and microservices to interface with your existing ERP systems, data lakes, and identity providers (like Active Directory/SSO), ensuring the new tool functions as an integrated part of your ecosystem, not a silo.
What is the structured process and timeline for the "Knowledge Transfer" to internal teams?
Knowledge transfer is an active, co-creation process, not just a handover. We embed our expert developers with your teams through the build, utilizing pair-programming, code reviews, and dedicated workshops. We focus on passing on the expertise in the new architecture, ensuring your team has the skills not just to maintain, but to evolve the solution. This process is formalized with documentation and often spans the entire PoC and initial build phase.
How is "Guaranteed Expertise" maintained after the initial development phase?
Through our long-term support model, your internal teams gain on-demand access to the original architects and senior developers who built your platform. This eliminates the long hiring process for specialized skills and ensures maximum stability. We provide contractual terms for retaining this access at an agreed-upon rate for consulting, stability review, and critical issue resolution.
