Full-stack software engineer (hand coding, no LLM)
As part of the Biotz’s development team you will help build next generation software platforms with a Clojure(script)-based technology stack. Our platform has been deployed in sectors such as manufacturing, energy, home automation and IoT-based solutions and we are looking for a candidate with a passion for technology
Biotz is here for the long run, and therefore we are looking for a tech-driven, passionate and committed candidate. We are a remote first company with an office in Oñati and San Sebastian (Gipuzkoa, Spain).
What you will do:
> Write code in Clojure, Clojurescript, Datomic, Datastar, CSS, SQL.
> Build sophisticated yet simple software products for our clients.
> Building and configuring the IT infrastructure in Azure/AWS/Docker.
> Work with a distributed team.
> Attend and contribute to our internal learning sessions.
> Create Open Source modules in our public github account.
What we are looking for:
> Development oriented professional. We seek engineers who hand code well designed systems.
> A preference for Functional Languages such as Clojure and Clojurescript.
> Team player as opposed to ninja / rockstar. Team communication is an essential part of the job. You are expected to communicate constantly and effectively with the rest of the team.
> To work in a brown-field project. The architecture, the tooling, the workflows and the development guidelines are already in place, and cannot be changed.
> A genuine curiosity for problem solving.
> Fluent in English, as it is our main working language. Spanish isn't required, but it’s definitely a nice bonus.
> Growth mindset as opposed to fixed mindset.
> Europe-based.
It'd be nice if you have experience with:
> Clojure, ClojureScript and Postgres.
> Docker.
> Continuous integration and deployment.
> Azure/AWS services.
> Git.
> Shell scripting.
